UH West O‘ahu - Number of Classes and Class Size
Information on the number of classes and their average class sizes is provided to support institutional and program planning at UH West O‘ahu. The information is presented to allow year-to-year comparisons of these elements by semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
The information is summarized by upper and lower division courses within the following five divisions/groups: Humanities, Natural Sciences, Professional Studies, Social Sciences, and General Education. The information for the Division of Education (Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education) is subsumed under the Division of Social Sciences. The "Natural Sciences" group includes Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Information & Computer Sciences, Math, Physics, and Zoology courses. The "General" (General Education) group consists of Aerospace Studies and Military Science & Leadership courses.
Please note that directed reading and research, practicum, senior project, aerospace studies, and military science & leadership courses are excluded in the files.
Figures for the number of classes and their class sizes are captured in the fifth weekend after the start of the semester. The data were extracted from the UH System Institutional Research Office's Dynamic Reporting database.
